    Why work in
    Homelessness & Support?

If you love the idea of working with people, enjoy variety and flexibility, and are passionate about finding purpose in your work, we can help you build a stable and rewarding career.

In a sector where no two days are the same, you will find person-centred ‘on-the-job’ support, opportunities for collaboration with colleagues and across projects, and the chance to positively contribute to significant social change in Wales.

You don’t need sector or specific job experience for many of these roles.

In fact, we’re looking for anyone with…

    • the right values – caring, kind, compassionate
    • the right attitude – committed, motivated, a desire to make a difference
    • the right mix of transferable skills – great with people, organised, resourceful

… and who can bring fresh thinking, energy, and enthusiasm.

Read real stories from people who have made the switch to the Homelessness and Support sector in our People and Profiles section.

Many people working in these roles today have previously accessed services themselves and are committed to helping others who are facing similar challenges– lived experience uniquely prepares you to work in this sector and is highly valued by many organisations.
